yesterday I was in NYC:D
it is a wonderful city, I love it :D I was here with 5 other AU Pair friends. We did have a great time. First I arrived at Grand central station, and I watched the BIG HUGH TINE clock.... yeah it 's not that big clock. you just can see it from every direction :P so I waited for the girls to show up. and they arrived.. one after one. (you did notice that I was first on time????!!!!??^^) and then we walked to 5th avenue, we decided to go to central park. we thought it lies on the 5th avenue/30th street.. so we started walking, and we walked.. Then we arrived to a big building. It was really high, I ask one of the girls which building it was. she said Empire state Buildning. WOW it's really hugh :O
The we keept on walking until we stoped at looked again on the map. 2 girls asked two people if we where on right track. and we were not! Central Park lies at 5th Av/59th street. GREAT!!!!! :( now we walked up at 5th avenue to 59th street... a great walk and and a little long :P but at last we found central park and we saw a couple that was shooting pictures of the bride and bridegroom with all maid of honors and bestmans. The bride had a wounderful dress. then we sat in the gras and relaxed a little. after a while we kept on walking in central park and the we wanted to do some shopping. One of the girls asked a friend of a great place and the friend said Bloomingdales. just on problem, Blooomingdales are for people with money. They have Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Mulberry, Marc Jacobs. Yeah you got it. not for an Au Pair on her first salary. But NYC is a great city and we had money to take a sandwich and a cup of chai latte at Starbucks! so I can't be sad about the day.
And my favorite spot is named huguenot Park. google it. and you will see why I love it :D
